Staff: Takao Y.

  • Hi am using Port-c port in the Part # USB-ML-Universal,When i connected my hard ware yellow lit is not glowing(What should be the cause?)
when i checked with multi meter pin # 3 and Pin # 6 is showing short (What is the cause for that short or it is as per design?)
    Please suggest me
    Thank you

  • Greetings,

The yellow LED indicates your target board is powered up. Is your board connected with power?

Pin 3 is a no-connect. The configuration on BDM is:

    Pin 1 = BKGD
    Pin 2 = GND
    Pin 4 = RESET
    Pin 6 = VDD

So you should measure VDD and GND to check for any short. The most popular issue is people do not connect the VDD line, however this is a necessary connection as the multilink has no reference voltage to know highs and lows in the BKGD and RESET lines.

  • Greetings,

    Any update on this?
