68332 project development

  • Hi,

We had a project that use the 68332, this is a old product and we need to provide some support to this.

The board does have a BDM port so we are thinking that we can use the multilink FX debugger for this. And we have a microtec 68332 compiler as well.

    So my question is
    1. I think we need an IDE to drive the FX. What is the best package to do this?
    2. The firmware is in flash and we have some kind of bootloader to load the code. Would this be a problem for debugging, ie would the package be able to support hardware/and or software break point and be able to modified RAM and register content while debugging?

  • Greetings,

Do you not have an IDE that originally had your old project for the 68332? Do you not have a way to compile your project?

    1) If you indeed need an IDE, we do have a whole development package. But if you already have a compiler, then it is not necessary to have this package:

If you already have a compiler and it generated an object file for you, then you just need a flash programming and debugging software:

    2) Our debugger can handle hardware and software breakpoints, modify RAM, and change register contents. Please checkout the websites I have listed above for more information of our software.
