MPC5675K - PROGPPCNexus - Error in ONCE status register.......

  • I am trying to use the PROGPPCNEXUS program (64K SE, version 1.33.00.00) supplied with the MPC5675K EVB to program the board.
The interface is the PE USB Nexus Multilink.

First of all it didn't have any PCP file at all for the MPC5675K, but I found and downloaded those from your support pages.
But, it doesn't seem to get any contact with the processor at all.

I get the "Error in ONCE status register during instruction execution" continuously, even before loading the PCP file.
I've tried various BDM speeds, even the lowest 31250, but no difference.

I use the interface with Codewarrior 10.1 (Eclipse) for debugging and download and it works fine there, even at maximum BDM speed.

The reason I'm trying to get the PROGPPCNEXUS going is, that the test people should have a simpler tool to use for downloading code, than the complete Codewarrior suite.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

  • Thanks Johnny, that did it. Works perfectly.

Someone really should tell Freescale this, so they don't ship a useless tool with their EVB causing both lost hair and time for their customers!
