Kinetis K60 flash config

  • When attempt programming the K60 in the Keil ┬ÁVision4, the CPROGARM Programmer gives a warning (screenshot attached).

So I think the Programmer or the ┬ÁVision is not configured correctly. Where can I correct this?

    Thanks very much.

  • Hi immer48,

Be very careful if you are receiving this message. For some reason, the uVision compiler is producing an output file which is writing to the 0x40C address, which is a reserved flash location that determines the security settings of the device. In your case it's even worse because the data (0xEF) will permanently secure your device.

This is usually caused by an error (or oversight) in the linker file of your project. I would expect uVision to have special linker files for Kinetis projects which prevent writing to this region. Perhaps you are using a "generic" linker file for ARM processors?

    Best regards,

  • I created a new project and the problem has gone. blink.gif
Everything works fine now, thanks for your answer!
