  • Hi All,

I'm a beginner for Freescale HCS08 processor development and meeting a flash programming problem as below. Can you provide some instruction and information. Appreciated in advance.

    Hello Jack,

This error messages means that the software was unable to load the flash programming code into the sram of the microcontroller. This indicates some type of communication problem.

What P&E hardware interface are you using to communicate with your board? Is it a cyclone pro?

How are you providing power to your board?

Please recheck your pcb traces to ensure that the RESET, BKGD, GND, and VDD pins on the microcontroller are
connected to the correct pins on the BDM header.

We recommend you put a 4.7kohm - 10kohm pullup resistor on RESET and BKGD.

Are you using some type of custom connectors or ribbon cables?

    Best Regards,
    Johnny
