Assembler doesn't catch errors

  • Hi there,

I spent time today trying to find a problem that turned out I'd simply forgot to define a label.
    Here's an example:

    sth r10,CKSUM_LOC(r31)

I had forgotten to define an EQU for CKSUM_LOC, but the assembler never gave an error and so I guess it just stuck some random value in there?

Is there some error check I have disabled in the software (WinIDE v1.22) that this would not alert me of the missing equate?

    Thanks,
    Ross
