  • Hi there PE People;
    We just got our new PKGHCS08 and installed it. Tried to start up the debugger from within WINide but got an error "%file% parameter passed invalid. please setup environment". Very mysterious but what does it mean. As usual your HELP file, doesn't.
    The Programmer also won't start because of this error. Editor works OK though.
    HELP! Bob

    Hello Bob,

    When you are in WINIDE, click on Environment and then Environment Settings.

    In the General Environment tab, select " Currently edited filename".

    In the EXE1 (Debugger) tab, the Options field should be blank because the debugger does not accept any commandline parameters.

    In the EXE2 (Flash Programmer) tab, the Options should also be blank.

    Best Regards,
    Johnny
