Programming HC812a4

  • Hello everybody,
    I recently bought a Multilink and PROG12Z.
    I have to program AM29F800BB via HC812A4 and I can't connect to the microcontroller.
    Reset is OK.
    Both LEDs (Blue and Yellow) are ON.
    The microcontroller resets and then if I want to delete, I wait a long time 1 hour, I type escape, I message "I can not connect with the target".
    Please help me, I am in great difficulty.

    Are you using any custom adapters, ribbon cables, external watchdog, or other hardware you have not mentioned?

    Which algorithm are you using?

    I use "Am29_800b_0w.12P", Multilink (original ribbon cables) and PROG12Z.

    First could you try using "Freescale_812A4_1x16x2k_4k_EEPROM.12P" algorithm and confirm you can at least talk to the internal EEPROM memory. This would tell us that your hardware and software is all fine. The problem is in the algorithm selection.

    I solved the problem, a PCB error.
    Now I can write, read, delete, etc.
    I have another problem:
    I'm writing a file in AM29F800BB via 812A4 and the application works OK.
    If I read AM29F800BB and I want to write it again with the read file from it, the application does not work. If I compare the file written first with the read one, they are different.
    I do not understand why ?

    I don't have the board, so you will have to do the investigation yourself. Use the verification commands with your selection of s-record files and figure out what addresses are not matching and use the user manual of your device to determine why the values are different.
