using a parallel port MON08 multilink with Windows 10

  • I need to support some very old legacy hardware, and I still have my parallel port MON08. I tried a Startech PCIe parallel port board, but the latest version of prog08sz I could find (dated 10/29/14) doesn't see the MON08 device. I don't think it even sees the parallel port.

I can't control the port emulation (SPP/EPP) mode of the board, and the instructions for the MON08 say to "avoid anything but SPP."

Does anyone know of a parallel port board that will work with this old hardware?

Is it known whether prog08sz will work with Windows 10?

I hope somebody out there can help... Thanks!

  • Greetings,

We do not have parallel support for Windows 10. Unfortunately you will need to find a Windows XP or older to continue using the PROG08SZ and parallel MON08 multilink if you wish to use your current setup.

If you want to upgrade your hardware, we have the cyclone universal hardware which has MON08 support. This is the cheapest solution forward for you if you wish to use Windows 10:
