Freezed download program for MC56F84462 by U-Multilink

  • Hi Dears,
    My customer used two kinds of debugger for MC56F84462.
    The one is USB-TAP for freescale and the other is U-Multilink for PEmicro.
    Sometimes my customer download the program using U-Multilink.
    but programming progress freezed immediately.
    So she changed debugger that USB-TAP for freescale. It did OK.
    She use Same target board , Same compiler and same program. But U-Multilink does not work.
    She want to know why U-Multilink freezing.
    The symptom is looks like normal but progress console appear progress bar on CW MCU v10.6.
    I have the screen shot figure but how to attach this file.

    You cannot attach files in our forums for security reasons. Do not want people posting possible viruses or spam.

    Try changing the debug shift frequency within the debug configurations. My assumption is you are using Codewarrior 10.x. Right click on your project -> Debug as -> Debug configurations -> Edit connection. Try lowering the debug speed because DSC parts tend to be slower devices compared to other Freescale devices. See if this improves your situation.

    If you simply need to flash program and do not need to debug, I suggest getting our PROGDSC software, which happens to be free!

    Were you able to connect tot he DSC device using the P&E hardware? Do you have any other questions or concerns?

    I confirmed freezing DSC device. So I changed debug speed. It was improved situation.
    I recommended my customer this method.
