Multilink issue with kinetis

  • Hi,

I'm using a multilink probe for programming a MKL14z32 from freescale. I'm working with Kinetis design studio.

When I want to flash my code to the kinetis, i have this message :

    "Error! Enabling module timed out.

    Error enabling module just selected.
    Error Erasing flash of device

    Error occured during Flash programming.

PE-ERROR: Error downloading to the device."

I tried different frequencies, with a full chip erase before connection and i still have this problem.

Sometimes, i can flash normally, but it's rare.

    Any ideas or solution ?

  • Greetings,

Within the debug configurations, make sure the target selected is indeed KL14Z32M4.

Then make sure the "Use SWD protocol" checkbox is checked.

Make sure your USB Multilink is showing up in "Port".

Are you using a custom board or are you using an evaluation board? On some evaluation boards you need to set the some jumpers and use the correct SWD header to program the chip. I just want to ensure you are connecting correctly.

  • Hi,

thanks for your answers, we found the problem on thursday :

There is too much computers on the same electrical line in our office. That create electrical disruption on my computer's supply which make problem on the multilink operation.

I had a filter on my computer and now its working well.
