  • Hello,

I used cyclone pro but It is discontinuance product.
so I will change for cyclone fx.
    I have some questions.

    1. Can I use image of old "SAP" file at new cyclone programmer?
    2. Do cyclone pro and cyclone fx use same protocol for writing? for instance, rs-232

    Thanks.

    • Greetings Jeongtae,

      1. Old SAP files that are not created with the latest Image Creation Utility have to be converted to a new format. We provide a commandline utility to do that.

      2. Which RS-232 functions are you currently using?

      • I have the same situation, I use cyclone Pro and I want to buy New cyclone universal, I work by Ethernet comunication,

        a) can I use the old commands (cyclone pro) for the New Cyclone.?
for example. Program imagen, erase image, load image, check imega, ect.

        b) can I work with the same license or I need new license?

        c) can I Use a cyclone pro and a new cyclone universal at the same time?

        • Pablo,

If you're using our Automated Control Package with the DLL or Cyclone Launch, you will need to purchase a license for Version 5.89.

If you are using the RS232 or Ethernet protocols and sending commands directly, they are compatible.

You can use the Cyclone Pro and Cyclone Universal together.

          Regards,
          Johnny
