  • Dear Sir,
It is about Cyclone Automated Control Package.

    page 34. 4.5.4 compare_image_with_file

    page 35 4.5.5 erase_all_cyclone_images

    page 36 4.5.6 add_image_to_cyclone

    page 37 4.5.7 update_image_with_file

Q1: What is compare for image ? when do I have to compare image file?

    Q2: What different between compare_image_with_file and add_image_to_cyclone?
The source both are a .SAP file. I think two commands are same.

    Q3: update_image_with_file = erase_all_cyclone_images + add_image_to_cyclone.
    update_image_with_file or add_image_to_cyclone only store at 1.
use compare_image_with_file to stored 1 ~ 4. Is it correct?

    • Hi Charles,

      > Q1: What is compare for image ? when do I have to compare image file?

This function compares an image stored on the selected media type (Cyclone internal Flash or external Compact Flash card) against a .SAP file created with the Cyclone Image Creation utility. You're not required to use this but it is useful for verifying that your image was programmed correctly onto the Cyclone.

      > Q2: What different between compare_image_with_file and add_image_to_cyclone?

The two functions are completely different. add_image_to_cyclone programs a SAP file into the Cyclone. compare_image_with_file does not program anything onto the Cyclone.

      > Q3: update_image_with_file = erase_all_cyclone_images + add_image_to_cyclone.
      update_image_with_file or add_image_to_cyclone only store at 1.
use compare_image_with_file to stored 1 ~ 4. Is it correct?

update_image_with_file erases all the current images first and then adds 1 image. If you want to store four images, you should call add_image_to_cyclone four times.

  • Dear Sir,

    Thank you a lot .
