Extract S19 from SAP file

  • Hello Everybody,

I made a SAP file for a Cyclon Pro.
This file works well with blue Cyclon Pro with LCD screen.

Unfortunately, this file doesn't work with old Cyclon Pro (the blue one without LCD Screen)
    I made a clean-up in CodeWarrior 10 and I loosed s19 file.

    Is it possible to :
    - extract s19 file and rebuilt SAP file with old Cyclon Pro tools?
    - convert new SAP file format into old SAP file format?

    Thank you very much.

    Regards,
    Loïc

  • Greetings,

No it is not possible to extract the S19 out of a SAP file. There is encryption when creating a SAP file.

Instead, you should try solving the the issue with getting the old cyclone pro. Have you tried updating the firmware of the old cyclone? Here is where you can download the latest software and firmware:

  • Thank you for your quick answer.

The problem is a bit more complexe:
    - I own Cyclon Pro with LCD screen and I can't leave it to my subcontractor
    - My subcontractor own old Cyclon Pro and don't want to upgrade it

I understand that SAP file is encrypted for security reason and that it is not possible to extract S19 file.

However, is it possible to convert new SAP file format to old SAP file format?

    Regard,
    Loïc

  • Greetings,

No, there is no way to convert from new to old, or old to new. You need to create the SAP image from the image creation utility. This is because there are new features and bug fixes in newer utilities that are not functional in older software.

If you want old, then use an older cyclone pro software. If you want new, then use newer cyclone pro software package.

The real problem is the lack of S19 or binary file is what is giving you the headache. Please find this file.
