FRDM-KL46Z Precompiled Examples

  • Trying out the FRMD-KL46Z demo board, attempting to load the precompiled examples via USB. The board always seems to end up running the original demo - or perhaps the precompiled examples are very similar to the demo. What should the examples DO? I would greatly appreciate some description (or source code) beyond e.g. "freedom_green_led_freedom.srec".
    Thank you!

  • Greetings,

I am sorry that no one has answered to your forum thread. Do you still have issues with the freedom board?

  • Hi Scott,

P&E OpenSDA team is responsible for maintaining the MSD/DEBUG applications. At the same time, we do not play a role in creating example projects for these boards.

If you have two different example projects that blink on board LEDs with different colors (red, green or blue) you can drag and drop them into FRDM-KL46Z OpenSDA board one after another and confirm that the onboard LED starts blinking with a corresponding color.

You can also use DEBUG feature of the onboard OpenSDA application to run a debug session and step through project example code under KDS/Keil/IAR or Atollic development IDEs.

    Best Regards,
    Zahar
