I am using a C compiler and the PEmicro debugger. What type of debug file format will the PEmicro debugger accept?
 
Answer
PEmicro recommends debugging with the ELF/DWARF2.0 format, as it is a common, standardized format in the embedded systems industry. You may use this file format with our debuggers for the following architectures:

HC(S)08
HC(S)12(X)
RS08
ColdFire V1/V2/V3/V4
PowerPC 5xx/8xx
PowerPC Nexus Qorrivva
HC16
CPU32
