Question
When I load the ICD debugger or PROG programmer, Norton Internet Security tells me it is attempting to access the internet, Why?

Answer
P&E has new hardware debug interfaces (Cyclone Pro and Cyclone Max) which work via ethernet. When P&E applications start up which may use these interfaces, the application will scan the local subnet for available Cyclone Pro and Cyclone Max units. These units will then be displayed to the user. You may block this type of ethernet traffic safely although you will not be able to communicate to the Cyclone Pro/Max via Ethernet.
