Question
What is the J2 connector for on the ICD Cable (CPU16/CPU32)?

Answer
This connector gives the capability for the user to trigger an external hardware breakpoint. The breakpoint is caused by shorting the two pins (J2) which are next to the 10-pin BDM header. The J2-1 pin is a CMOS sense input with a pull-up resistor, and the J2-2 pin is an optional ground.
