Question
I am using Keil MDK Microcontroller Development Kit v5.28 or v5.29 for ARM device with M33 core, and do not see PEmicro interface in a list of debugger options. How do I fix it?

Answer
It was brought to our attention that the latest version of Keil MDK does not list PEmicro debug interfaces as an option to debug M33 (ARMV8) core based devices. This is due to an error in TOOLS.INI file which will be corrected in the next release of Keil MDK IDE. PEmicro fully supports debugging and FLASH programming of M33 ARM based devices. Hence, to add PEmicro debug selection back to Debug configuration, the following change needs to be made to TOOLS.INI file that can be found in root Keil IDE folder: Look for the following text lines: CPUDLL3=SARMV8M.DLL(TDRV2,TDRV4,TDRV6,TDRV7,TDRV8,TDRV12,TDRV13,TDRV14,TDRV15) Once found, please add TDRV8 label to it, which is a placeholder for a path to PEmicro debug interface dll within Keil IDE. Once this change is made, you will be able to select PEmicro Debugger option under Debug tab of Options for Target dialog within your current device project.
