How do I get Virtual Serial port to work using TWR-S12G128 OSBDM board under Codewarrior CW5.1 for S12(X) IDE?
Codewarrior CW5.1 is a classic NXP IDE, only compatible with OSBDM firmware version 30.xx and older. While the latest version of OSBDM firmware 31.xx supports CDC virtual serial port, it is only compatible with Eclipse Codewarrior versions 10.2 and higher. Please follow these steps to get virtual serial port on your tower card to work: 1. Install attached OSBDM firmware update package and confirm that you are using OSBDM firmware version 30.xx via Firmware Information utility. 2. If you are using firmware version 31.xx, please use firmware update utility to downgrade firmware to v30.xx. 3. Please go to firmware_updater installation directory on your PC, and copy peosbdmv1.dll to CWS12v5.1Prog, overriding an older version.
